Biochemical profile of multiple myeloma about 50 cases

Multiple myeloma (MM) is a clonal proliferation of plasma cells invading the bone marrow and secreting monoclonal immunoglobulin. In order to study epidemiological biological biochemical characteristics MM, we carried out retrospective work on cohort 50 cases collected at Avicenna Military Hospital in Marrakesh, during period 5 years (from January 2013 December 2017). Our included 32 men (64%) 18 women (36%), with an average age 60.6 years, extremes 44 87 years. The circumstances discovery were dominated by pain alteration general condition, which are revealing more than 65% cases. Biologically: sedimentation rate was accelerated 86% cases, peak appearance revealed serum proteins electrophoresis 88%of most often located γ zone (64%), predominance Ig G isotype kappa light chains 60% Bence Jones protein (BJP) found 7 patients, i.e. 14% plasmacytosis over 10% myelograms 90 %
